Assassin's Creed and Final Fantasy XI
Final Fantasy XI / Assassin's Creed
Simple question: What is your favorite game?
This question really has two answers. I grew up on console games but in 2003 I was introduced to Final Fantasy XI, my first (and only) real MMORPG (i played Phantasy Star Online prior to FFXI). I got pretty sucked into it (I've logged almost 2 full years of real time in-game). Although I still play FFXI, in 2007 a game would come along that broke FFXI's grip on me and pulled me back to a console. In this case it was an Xbox 360 and the game was Assassin's Creed. Since then, I've focused much more on my 360 than FFXI. I've accomplished more in FFXI than most people ever get to, and I love my linkshell dearly, but on my 360 is where I belong, controller in hand.

The games that are, and will be, listed here are mostly non-Xbox360 games, since you can just view my GamerCard or look up my XBL gamertag (dropslash) on xbox.com to see what my favorite 360 games are.

    PANIC!
AKA: "Switch", a wondefully quirky, obscure, hilarious, game for the Sega CD. The idea was simple. Push button, see what happens. The results were always awesomely weird. I used to laugh so hard playing this game. There are tons of clips on Youtube now from this game. Check it out.

    Pokémon
What started randomly with Pokémon Red turned into a lifelong love. I enjoy Pokémon in all medium; games, film, tv... I've cited it as the game world I'd most like to live in. You'll find me breeding champion level dark and fire types, when I'm not obsessing over berries. I actually had a brief gig working with Pokémon USA, which was amazing.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
The reason I got an Xbox, I'm sure I'm not the only one. When I first got KoToR I played it for almost three days straight, napping for just a few hours between play stretches. I'd never played a game like it before. The sequel was one of the non-Halo games I was able to get my brother to play.

    Phantasy Star Online
Let's just say it's all about the Androids. HUcaseal, Greennil. There aren't many problems a Chainsawd, a Black King Bar, and a whole lot of traps can't solve. When I'm not grinding away on mobs you can find me breeding Rati, the best mags ever (I even wrote a guide).
    Phantasy Star Online
    Jet Set Radio
AKA Jet Grind Radio. No matter what you call it, this game was amazing. I played it endlessly. I still would if my Dreamcast wasn't in storage.

    Godhand
What can really be said about Godhand that hasn't been said already? This game is the only reason I still own a PS2. I listen to the soundtrack on a regular basis. This, like the other Clover era titles, it's a gamer's game. I can only pray for a next gen re-release or, good god(hand), a sequel.
    Godhand
    Resident Evil
RE and I go way back. While I've played through nearly every version and incarnation, 2 and 4 remain my favorites. I love the setting and storyline, even though it's become pretty wacky lately. Unfortunately I really moved away from the series after 5.
    Resident Evil
That's enough for now. There's a lot more games that belong here, I'll add them all as I get the time.
